Unlike the previous games, Visceral Games, the creators of space survival horrors – Dead Space, was tasked with the majority of development efforts, not, as it was before, the Swedish team at EA DICE. Battlefield Hardline abandons the traditional theater of war to the conflict of a different sort – the police struggle against organized crime. The player assumes the role of Nick Mendoza – a young detective from Miami who embarks on a personal vendetta throughout United States against his former partners whom the perspective of a fast buck drew the path of lawlessness. The structure of the plot is modeled on television series – it is divided into episodes often finished with plot twists. Detective sequences during which Nick collects evidence and identifies suspects are sort of enrichment.System Requirements.

The campain on this game is like any other game, there is violence but nothing that bad. I have never been a supporter of rated M games. But the multiplayer on this game is so much different. Multiplayer in this game offers Somthing so different with no blood and with big maps there is no running and gunning you have to use strategy and think about what you are doing.

I told my son when I bought the game that I would watch him play before I let him play and I was pleasantly surprised. So for all of you parents out there unsure if you should let your kids play the game, there is nothing to worry about when it comes to battlefield multiplayer. Before I let you go I would like to compare this to cod, the diffrence is that battlefield is more about teamwork and strategy when cod is running around shooting people. This game is outstanding yes its not 'on the battlefield' but its a great game as usual i am against CS ratings and i am this game is fun and like other FPS games its rated M but that makes no difference my kids were never into battle field or call of duty but then my 15 year old asked me for it i was kind of shocked but i let him buy the game i saw him play and his 11 year old brother wanted to play they had a great time the drug use is kept to a minimum and is some times not visible 12 and up is the perfect age for this game. I am a mother of a 13 year old son who plays this game, and trust me it's not as bad as it seems.

There is some violence, but you get extra points for not shooting criminals and arresting them instead. Most games that have drugs don't make drugs look bad, but in this game they encourage you to stop the drug dealers. This game can teach your child about how bad drugs are and what they can do to you. There is also some profanity, but nothing your child probably hasn't heard before in school, or on TV. Overall, I think that this game is fine for children 13 and older.

My son has been involved in the Battlefield series for a while (Battlefield 2, 3, etc.) and he was excited when yet another came out. I was open to the idea until I read the basic game details. Douglas farr sustainable urbanism pdf file free. This game no longer takes place on a battlefield, it takes to the streets. And the addition of drug usage just pushed it over the edge. I didn't want my son seeing drugs the whole game and said no until he said the drugs were contained in the campaign setting.

The multiplayer setting is drug free and actually enjoyable when he begged me to try it. I'm not letting him play the campaign yet, but the rest of the game seems like any other first person shooter. I have a 13 year old son who recentl y told me about this game. I let him play t - rated games (16 in UK) and initially I thought m rated (18) was too much for him. He was very upset as his friends all have this game, and even picked on him a little for only have t rated games.

I thought I was depriving him of it. Although we, as a family, tend to watch TV shows with high ratings I didn't let my son get the game at first. Eventually we made a deal that if he bought the game he could play it like normal but if he swore / acted violent during the time he had the game, it would be removed.

This was an amazing idea. EVERY PARENT SHOULD DO THIS. As soon as he got the game I realised it wasn't SLIGHTLY as bad as what commonsense media say. Again common sense media have vastly over -rated there review and lead the reader to believe the game is some past time from hell. The game even tries to make you as non lethal as possible. The game does have infrequent swearing BUT absolutely NOTHING in comparison to school. And social life in general.

Drugs wasn't a problem with us as my son is quite mature / intelligent and we have already seen drugs in films and TV. Violence is actually quite low intensity and has no gore (and hardly any blood!) And again on par with TV. No nudity / sex. This game is so vastly overshadowed by its false age rating, it s gameplay is overlooked. WORRYING PARENTS WITH KIDS should completely be fine with this game. At a minimum I would definitely let him play the online which has no drugs / language at all.(even enjoyable!).

Try it out for your self! All in all the violence is below average and language is infrequent and not strong ( csm making it up again)! I think this game is acceptable for ages 13 and up as it had no affect on my kid, even better with a contract ( which hugely recommend!) Pegi have this game wrong it should be t rated or 16 not 18:L. Anyway Good luck! This game is SUPER exaggerated. Common sense media makes it out to a super violent, run n' gun, violent shooter BUT it is the opposite. It gives a good message of syaing no to drugs and doing the right thing by arresting drug dealers in the campaign.

It gets people to use their brain and strategize instead of mindlessly unloading bullets. And the multiplayer is amazing! As me and my 12 year old son are gamers, I played the game along with him.

The multiplayer showed no cursing( Note: The campaign has cursing but its nothing to worry about as everyone in the world encounters a curse somewhere in their lives) and had action, gadgets and cool vehicles. If this was a game review, 10/10 but as for CSM, Five stars for ages 10 and up.
